1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ghfs ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

ghfs is a desktop software tool that mounts GitHub Issues as read-only local files via FUSE. The Software is available in the following tiers:

• Free — GitHub Issues (latest 10), 1 project
• Hobby — GitHub Issues (all), unlimited projects
• Pro — All providers and services, unlimited projects
• Enterprise — All Pro features plus team license management and SLA

3. License

Upon purchase, you receive a license key that grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Software on the number of devices permitted by your plan. The license is personal to the purchaser and may not be shared, resold, or sublicensed.

4. Activation and Device Limits

The Software requires activation via a license key. Each plan allows a limited number of simultaneous device activations. You may deactivate a device at any time to free up a slot.

5. Subscription and Payment

Paid plans are available in the billing intervals shown on the pricing page, which may include monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, or lifetime purchases. Subscription payments are processed by our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the applicable rate until you cancel.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy section for details.

7. Grace Period

If a subscription payment fails, a 30-day grace period begins. During this period, the Software continues to function normally. If payment is not resolved within 30 days, access to paid features is suspended.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Share, resell, or distribute license keys
• Circumvent license validation or device limits
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose

Violation of these terms may result in immediate license revocation without refund.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license if we detect fraudulent use, license key abuse, or violation of these Terms. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all systems.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Software. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

This Privacy Policy describes how ghfs ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our software and services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Purchase Information

When you purchase a license, we collect:

• Email address — used for license delivery, account communication, and support

Payment information (credit card numbers, billing address) is processed directly by our payment processor and is never stored on our servers.

2.2 Device Information

When you activate a license, the Software sends the following to our license server:

• Device identifier — a unique ID generated locally
• Operating system and architecture — e.g., "darwin/arm64", "linux/amd64"
• Software version — the version of ghfs installed on your device

This information is used to enforce device limits per your license plan and to compile anonymous usage environment statistics (e.g., which OS/architecture combinations are common). We do not collect hostnames, MAC addresses, or IP addresses from the client.

2.3 License Validation

The Software periodically contacts our license server (approximately every 10 hours) to validate your license. This request includes your license ID, public key version, and the device information described in section 2.2. No additional personal data or usage telemetry is transmitted during these checks.

2.4 What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, access, or store your GitHub data (issues, code, repositories)
• We do not track your usage patterns or behavior within the Software
• We do not use analytics or tracking pixels on our website
• We do not sell or rent your personal information
• We share personal information only with service providers that process it on our behalf (see section 5)

3. How We Use Your Information

• Deliver and activate your license
• Enforce device limits per your plan
• Compile anonymous usage environment statistics (OS, architecture, software version)
• Process subscription payments
• Send transactional emails (license delivery, payment receipts, expiration notices)
• Respond to support requests

4. Data Storage and Security

Your license data is stored in a managed database. API operations are logged for audit purposes. These logs contain license IDs, email addresses, tier information, and device IDs.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. License files stored on your device are signed with Ed25519 to prevent tampering.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers for the following purposes:

• Payment processing — handles credit card transactions; we never store your card details
• Cloud hosting — runs our license server and stores your license data
• Content delivery — delivers our website and API

These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your license data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after expiration or cancellation, after which it is deleted. Audit logs are retained for 12 months.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Deactivate your license from any device at any time

Subscriptions (Monthly & Yearly)

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. The Software will revert to the Free tier after the billing period ends.

Refunds

All subscription payments are non-refundable. No partial or prorated refunds are provided for unused time remaining in a billing period.

Payment Failure

If a subscription payment fails, a 30-day grace period begins. During this time, you continue to have full access to paid features. If payment is not resolved within 30 days, your license is suspended and access reverts to the Free tier.

Lifetime License

Lifetime license purchases are non-refundable. A lifetime license grants permanent access to the features available in your tier at the time of purchase.

Free Tier

The Free tier is available at no cost and does not require payment or a license key. No refund applies.

Exceptions

If you experience a technical issue that prevents the Software from functioning and we are unable to resolve it, we may offer a refund at our discretion. Contact us at contact@ghfs.dev to discuss your situation.

Prices for each plan are listed on the pricing page. All prices are in USD and include applicable taxes where required. No additional fees (shipping, handling, or other surcharges) apply.

Payment

Payment is charged at the time of purchase via credit card.

Delivery

License keys are delivered electronically immediately upon successful payment. No physical goods are shipped.
